Sip and Signet Ring Workshop

We’re hosting our third Signet and Sip at Side Street! This cosy and cool city centre bar is the perfect spot to grab a drink and create a dreamy ring. Your ticket includes a free drink at the bar.

Join Sabira, founder of Sken Studios, for an afternoon of jewellery making and create your own bespoke signet ring in recycled silver.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the art of wax carving to design and sculpt a unique signet ring from jeweller's wax. After the workshop, your design will be professionally cast in solid recycled silver, polished to your chosen finish, and posted directly in approximately four weeks.

Beginner-friendly. No previous experience is needed.

Workshop Overview

Discover the traditional art of wax carving and create a one-of-a-kind signet ring under the guidance of experienced jeweller Sabira.

The workshop begins with an introduction to the wax carving process, followed by a demonstration of the tools and techniques you'll be using. Sabira will then guide you step-by-step as you carve your chosen signet shape, refine the proportions and add your own personal details to create a truly unique design.

Once the workshop is complete, your wax model will be professionally cast in solid recycled silver using the lost wax casting process. Your finished ring will then be carefully polished and posted directly to you within four weeks.

Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, explore jewellery making for the first time, or create a meaningful piece to treasure for years to come, this workshop offers a relaxed and inspiring introduction to the craft.

Good to Know

• You'll have the option to upgrade your ring to solid gold on the day of the workshop (additional cost).

• Choose between a high-polish finish or a satin (matte) finish.

• Your ring size will be measured during the workshop.

• Every ring is handmade and completely unique. Small variations are part of the making process and are what make each piece special.

Cancellation Policy

• Workshop bookings are non-refundable.

• If you need to change your booking, you can transfer to another available workshop date with at least 72 hours' notice for a £15 administration fee, subject to availability.

• Requests to transfer your booking made with less than 72 hours' notice cannot be accommodated, and your booking will be forfeited.

• You're welcome to send someone else in your place at any time at no extra cost. Just let us know their name before the workshop.

• Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds or partial refunds for late arrival, early departure or non-attendance.

• If Sken Studios has to cancel or reschedule a workshop, you'll be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer to another date.
